Time for a MEGA update!

Yeah, it's been so long since I last blogged! I hope you had a really nice holiday season. Ours went okay except for my poor brother catching a cold not long before Christmas. New years was much the same, except everybody had caught said cold. Stinking thing stayed with us through January and much of February. We watched the occasional light snowfall and snuffled at each other. For the first time in a while I had time to really play a video game. I finally beat Final Fantasy 1.

Thankfully around St Valentine's Day we had a respite from the bug - right on time for a party we wanted to attend. We got to make a craft for everybody which was well received. Most of the components are handmade. I was in charge of making the headgear - sewn felt hats based on an actual hat pattern and beadwork tiaras.

People especially liked the hats and the penguin dolls. I really happy about it because it is the first time I've ever tried to make a top hat that actually worked out.
